The Fundação Getulio Vargas has been active for more than 70 years to stimulate Brazilian socioeconomic development, as well as contribute to the country's insertion in the international scenario. FGV has a long tradition and experience in the development of projects and research in the areas of public management, economics, law and social sciences, with a special focus on innovation, information technology, regulation, transparency and public policies.
The FGV was ranked the sixth best think tank in the world by the Global Go To Think Tanks Rankings 2018, prepared by the Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program of the University of Pennsylvania. It has also been elected, since 2016, as the best managed think tank in the world, and remains for a decade as the first in Latin America.
Recognized in other categories, the FGV also won first place in Latin America as the best social policy think tank, ranking fifth in the world. Besides this achievement, the institution ranks among the top ten: fourth best center for regional studies; sixth in advancements in research and innovation, seventh in transdisciplinary research and eighth in terms of institutional collaboration with two or more think tanks.
The Big Data for Sustainable Urban Development project is developed by a highly qualified multidisciplinary team, with extensive experience in the themes presented in this work. As an Executing Agency, FGV leads the work in cooperation with the IDB and the Steering Committee.

Associate Professor at the School of Applied Mathematics (FGV-EMAp). Previously, he was an associate professor in the Research and Innovation Center in Computer Science of the Universidad Católica San Pablo (UCSP); an associate researcher at the UW Interactive Data Lab at the University of Washington. Specialist in Big Data, visualization and data science. Extensive experience in urban mobility projects.

Ciro Biderman
Professor in the PhD and M.Sc. programs in Govern and Public Administration at Politics and Economics of the Public Sector (CEPESP/FGV). Post doc in Urban Economics at Department of Urban Studies and Planning (DUSP) at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) on 2007 and PhD in Economics at FGV on 2001. His research interests include urban and regional economics focused on public policies at the sub-national level, with particular emphasis on transport economics and land policies. He was previously the São Paulo City’s Chief of Innovation Officer (2016) and the Chief of Staff of SPTrans (2013-2015), São Paulo City’s Bus Company.

As a professional, he has more than 25 years of experience, and has held positions of trust in multinational and national companies. He has extensive experience in project management, management of multidisciplinary teams and international partnerships, business and product development and management, marketing management, internet and social networks, as well as experience in international negotiation and event organization.

Coordination Advisor. She holds an MBA in Project Management from Fundação Getulio Vargas and an MBA in Business Management from the same institution. Responsible for project follow-up, organization of meetings and payments of providers through proof of deliveries, as well as support in monitoring the quality of services provided by third parties and in the final publication.
