PENSA's cross-cutting work with data from several secretariats and private companies, such as Waze, the partner of this project, also allowed, for example, the identification of priority flooding points and their appropriate treatment. This work was developed in partnership with the Operations Center, the Secretariat of Conservation and Civil Defense.
Since 2014, when the project was completed, the city remained largely untouched until the 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games. For this purpose, Waze data and the history of the GPS devices of the bus fleet were used, floodplain points that offered the greatest risk to citizens.
