In a specific study on the flow of public transport users among attendees of New Year's Eve in Copacabana, PENSA instructed the Municipal Transportation Secretariat (SMTR) to reorganize the boarding points on the buses for party. It was thus possible to optimize the movement of people in the neighborhood and reduce congestion and travel time back to the various areas of the city. The same type of analysis enabled the organization of transport during the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 Olympics and Paralympics.
