One of the great challenges of cities is to identify and cross data related to trees and occurrences due to falls related to climatic events. It is known that the existence of trees contributes drastically to the improvement of the quality of life in urban centers. But it is also known that the tree maintenance process is quite complex, since it involves different assignments (one must consider the appropriate period of the year of pruning according to each species, the existence of electric wires between the branches - requiring personnel qualified for their manipulation - the risks involved in possible falls and the risk classification of each region or type of tree in relation to the types of climatic events).
In this way, to carry out an adequate tree mapping and to identify the risk factors of each area are factors of great impact in the sustainable urban development. PENSA was able to map the occurrences of pruning requests, cycles of climatic events and define risks for each region, in order to guide the work of city maintenance teams.
