PENSA researchers also verified that people's positioning data, collected through Twitter, could be used to identify patterns of displacement and even the income range of the user (based on the data of domicile with income indicated by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics - IBGE).
In addition, requests for new bicycle paths were added to the data, using a tool from the Lab.RIO (public policy experimentation team in the city of Rio de Janeiro), the use of Bike Rio bicycles (shared bicycle system) and the use of public transportation (buses, trains and subway) for the proposition of several changes in the planning of bicycle routes. This project was developed in partnership with the Municipal Department of Environment.
